Laganas is the most cosmopolitan tourist area of Zakynthos. People who love nightlife will appreciate Laganas, as the area offers a huge variety of choises in restaurants and night clubs.

The wide, sandy beach with a total length of nearly 9 km is one of the lengthiest and most popular beaches in Greece.

This beach has been the reproduction place for the "Caretta-Caretta" sea turtle for centuries. The bay of Laganas, as well as the nearby areas are under the supervision and protection of the National Marine Park.

You can actually observe the turtles in their natural environment using one of the small boats touring the bay of Laganas.
